Multicultural Event
Recognising the need to encourage feedback from our diverse communities the Healthwatch South Tees team held a Multicultural Event on Thursday 4 July at the Methodist Asylum Project. The day was all about bringing people together to understand their health and social care needs.
As well as increasing awareness of Healthwatch South Tees, workshops were held to identify what health and care services these communities use, the barriers they face in accessing these services and most importantly discussing solutions to remove them. Attendees enjoyed a fabulous lunch, and we were also able to recruit some new volunteers to help us extend our reach into these communities.
We were lucky to have an artist from Middlesbrough Voluntary Development Agency join us on the day who has created these canvas arts from the group discussions and workshops.
